About the Golf Academy of South Florida
The Golf Academy of South Florida (GASFLA) provides professional golf instruction, player-development programs, and competitive opportunities throughout Miami-Dade County. Led by PGA Professional and US Kids Golf Local Tour Director John Moscoso, GASFLA welcomes juniors, adults, families, veterans, and athletes of all abilities. Our programs combine quality instruction, on-course experience, athletic development, competition, teamwork, and character-building.

Leadership
John Moscoso has been a PGA Professional since 2006 and brings more than 18 years of experience in golf instruction, player development, tournament operations, and community engagement. His career includes leadership roles at respected South Florida facilities, including La Gorce Country Club and the Biltmore Golf Club. As a US Kids Golf Local Tour Director, John organizes and oversees age-appropriate junior tournaments that provide young golfers with a positive competitive experience and a clear pathway for continued development. John previously helped lead First Tee of Miami programming that reached more than 2,500 children annually. He has also worked with PGA HOPE and Special Olympics to create welcoming golf opportunities for military veterans and athletes with intellectual disabilities.
